Suez Cement Group of Companies (SCGC) has started the implementation of an integrated alternative fuel (AF) system at Kattameya plant, in collaboration with the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAAA).

According to its Environmental Policy SCGC is planning reducing the utilisation of traditional fuels by feeding its kilns with AFs derived from agricultural waste eg rice straw or cotton stalks and municipal wastes.
