03 August 2011

Cement sales of HeidelbergCement’s Bosnian division declined in the first-half of 2011.

"In the cement business line, sales volumes increased substantially in most countries; only in Bosnia-Herzegovina were our cement deliveries still significantly below the previous year’s level in the first half of the year," HeidelbergCement said in its first-half financial report published at the end of last week.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina HeidelbergCement operates the the Kakanj cement plant (TCK), one cement terminal and four ready-mixed concrete plants.

In May TCK said it expects to produce and place 500,000t of cement in 2011.
