South Valley begins production at new plant, Egypt

South Valley Cement announced that it has started the actual production of clinker and the plant will reach its maximum annual production capacity of 1.5Mt within weeks.

In addition, the company paid the third installment amounting to EGP3.0mn and USD5.7mn of the loans granted from HSBC and NSGB.

Accordingly, the total loan amounts plus interest paid by the company during the period from December 2010 to June 2011 reached EGP9.4mn and USD17.0mn
