Cement sales in South Africa moved 10.2 per cent higher YoY in June to 996,500t, from 903,857t in June 2010, data from the Cement and Concrete Institute showed. Sales were 912,585t in May.

Domestic sales on a year-to-date basis were flat at 5.197Mt, from 5.195Mt for the same period in 2010.

The average daily cement sales declined to 42,599t on a year-to-date basis, from 43,308t in 2010.
