Hungary’s Competition Office (GVH) on Monday said it launched procedures against six cement companies in the capital on suspicion of cartel activity.

GVH launched the procedures against Betonpartner Magyarorszag Kereskedelmi es Szolgaltato, Cemex Hungaria Epitoanyagok, DBK-Foldgep Epitesi, Frissbeton Betongyarto es Forgalmazo, Holcim Hungaria Cementipari and TBG Hungaria-Beton Befekteto, Gyarto es Forgalmazo.

GVH carried out unannounced, on-site checks of some of the companies’ bases on June 9 as a first step in the matter.
