Cement production in Russia during January-May 2011 totalled 18.1Mt, data from the Federal Statistics Office showed. Compared with the corresponding period of 2010, production increased by 2.2Mt. 

In May 2011 alone, output stood at 5.3Mt.
 
Last year, Russia produced 50.4Mt, up 13.8 per cent from 44.3Mt in 2009.
