Peruvian shipments increase YoY

Peruvian cement shipments in the first five months of 2011 totaled 3.197Mt, 1.66 per cent more than in the same period of 2010, when they amounted to 3.145Mt, reported the Association Cement Producers (Asocem). 



During Jan-May 2011 period, cement production was 3.29Mt, representing a YoY increase of 2.62 per cent, when it was 3,20Mt. 

In the first five months of 2011 exports reached 21,763t of cement, an increase of 1713.58 per cent over the same period in 2010 (1200t)
.

Total shipments (domestic plus exports) for the first five months of this year were 3.2Mt, up 2.31 per cent YoY.
