Siam City Cement has reported that a fire broke out at the limestone conveyor belt within the raw material preparation area of Plant 3 of the company’s plant in Saraburi Province.

The company’s emergency team immediately commenced the initial containment procedure with additional support by municipal fire fighting units. The fire was put under control in about 40 minutes without any injury or fatality. There was no environmental impact in the area surrounding the plant and no effect on cement production.
