Colombia’s largest cement producer, Cementos Argos, expects US authorities to approve its acquisition of US assets from Lafarge by 1 August, the company’s head of communications, Juan Pablo Lema, told BNamericas.

The deal will boost the Colombian company’s US cement production capacity to 3.2Mta, while concrete will increase to 10Mm3 per annum.
