India’s largest cement producer UltraTech Cement said on Wednesday cement shipments in May were at 3.24Mt, down 3.2 per cent from a year earlier.
Production was down 4.9 percent to 3.25Mt, the company said in a statement.
UltraTech Cement, part of the Aditya Birla group, has an installed capacity of about 49Mta.
