Lucky Cement, the largest manufacturer and exporter of cement from Pakistan, was under the spotlight after the claims from some local cement players in South Africa about its quality issues. However, the company has noted it has steered of this propaganda after the Court in Durban gave its verdict in favour of the Pakistani exporter recently. 

Lucky Cement exports regularly to South Africa and has a valid certification from South African Bureau of Standards (SABS), which has stringent requirements of quality testing.  Lucky Brand has established its repute in the South African market for high standards which created stiff competition for the local manufacturers, such as Natal Portland Cement (NPC).  



The National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) has also given permission to local importers to import cement from the Pakistani giant as the company qualifies its quality parameters and standards.
