PT Semen Tonasa plant on track for year-end completion

Indonesia’s PT Semen Tonasa’s new cement plant in Pangkep, South Sulawesi, will be completed by the end of this year and start production in January 2012, a senior official has said.

"Let us hope completion would be this year, operation in January 2011, and commercialization in February 2012," President Director of PT Semen Tonasa HM Sattar Saba said when receiving South Sulawesi Governor Syahrul Yasin Limpo along with high officials of the South Sulawesi administration at the Tonasa Semen plant in  on Tuuesday.

The Tonasa V project had reportedly reached 82 per cent of completion. The project involves an investment of US$655m and will have a production capacity of 2.5Mta.
