Vietnam’s cement sales stood at 16.02Mt in the first four months of this year, fulfilling 29.4% of the sector’s whole-year set target.
In April, the country used 4.6Mt, the Ministry of Construction said on its website May 13, giving no on-year comparative figures.
The Southeast Asian nation cement production stood at 4.72Mt in April, raising the country’s total production in the January-April period to 16.4Mt, meeting 30.1% of the full-year target.
The country’s cement consumption is forecast to reach between 54.5Mt and 56Mt this year, up 9% and 10% on year, respectively.
