Verkhnebakansky Cement to construct its own power station

Verkhnebakansky Cement Plant, based in Novorossiysk, Krasnodar region, Russia intends to invest US$36m building a power plant for its own needs, Interfax reports.

The 10.5kV station, with a power capacity of 44 MW, is reportedly to have 11 gas engine power units with the JGS 624 GS-N.LC trademark, produced by Austrian firm GE Jenbacher. The plant is scheduled for commissioning in 2Q11.
