Total shipments of Portland and blended cement in the United States and Puerto Rico for February 2011 were 3.6Mt. This was 7% higher than shipments in February 2010. The leading producing States were Texas, California, Florida, Missouri, and Alabama, in descending order. The leading consuming States (Texas, California, Florida, Louisiana, and North Carolina, in descending order) received about 46% of the February total shipments.

Clinker production totaled 3.4Mt in February, about 4% below the output in February 2010. The leading clinker-producing States (Texas, Missouri, California, Florida, and South Carolina, in descending order) produced about 54% of the February total.
