Turkish exports rise 7.38% in 2010

Turkish cement exports increased by 7.38 per cent in 2010 compared to 2009, according to the Union of Turkish Cement Producers. Clinker exports, however, fell 29.7 per cent YoY.

In 2009, the country exported 14Mt of cement while in 2010 exports reached 15.06Mt. Last year clinker exports amounted to 2.77Mt against 3.95Mt in 2009.

Exports from the Mediterranean region registered the highest increase last year up 50.1 per cent YoY.
