Indian prices likely to moderate soon
Cement prices across India are at historical highs but analysts say that these price levels are unlikely to sustain with expansion in capacity. The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has also sought details on the uptrend in cement prices. The increase in prices is despite feeble demand growth of 3% year on year through Oct 2010-Feb 2011.
