Akmenes Cementas (Akmene Cement), Lithuania’s only cement manufacturer, has signed a building contract worth LTL150m (EUR 43.5m) with Panevezio Statybos Trestas (PST), one of the country’s biggest construction companies, after more than six months of negotiations.

Akmenes Cementas spokesman Richardas Sudaris said this to BNS on Thursday.

Sudaris said that PST had won a competitive bidding process as the best bidder.

Akmenes Cementas is implementing its biggest-ever modernization project worth LTL350m. The company has obtained a LTL130m syndicated loan from SEB Bankas and another five banks to help finance the project.
