Pakistan cement producer, DG Khan plant has utilised its kiln capacity to the full and produced 2.2Mta of clinker, remaining operational for 347 days during financial year 2009/10, a statement said on Thursday.

In recognition of this performance, the management board of FLSmidth, has given an award of outstanding achievement to the cement producer.

Raza Mansha, Chief Executive DG Khan Cement, received the award from Danish ambassador and FLSmidth official. The award has been given on a global basis for outperforming the world standard run for rotary cement kilns, which is 330 days per year.
