South Africa sales down 12.4% in February
Cement sales in SA moved 12.4% lower YoY in February to 736,691t from 840,586t at the same month in 2010, data from South Africa’s Cement and Concrete Institute showed.
Cement sales had declined 4.6% YoY in January.
Domestic sales on a year-to-date basis declined 9.1% to 1.375Mt, from 1.513Mt for the same period in 2010.
The moving annual total in SA was down 6.8% y/y in February 2011 to 10.732Mt from 11.521Mt in February 2010. Published under Cement News
