According to provisional data from the Association of Portland Cement Manufacturers (AFCP), domestic  shipments totaled 819,655t in February 2011, 3.7 per cent less than in January 2011 but 18.4 per cent above the February 2010 figure.

In the first two months of the year, cement sales totaled 1,710,303t, 15.6 per cent more than the same period of 2010.



During last year total cement shipments reached a record 10.46Mt, up 10.7 per cent on 2009. For this year AFCP projects shipments of around 11Mt.
