Reduction of SO2, NOx and mercury emissions is mandated under the US Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) National Emission Standard for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) for the Portland Cement Manufacturing Industry, commonly referred to as the Portland Cement Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT) regulation.
