The plant will be located in Garadagh district and have a production capacity of 5000tpd (2Mta).
Operations are expected to begin in late 2013. The project started in 2008 from the preparation of a feasibility study made by India’s Holtec Consulting Private Ltd.
On 12 April 2010 the Ministry of Environment & Natural Resources of Azerbaijan approved the environmental impact assessment of the project.
