Peruvian shipments increase 5.56%

Shipments of cement in the Peruvian market totaled 643,264t in January 2011, 5.56 per cent more than that recorded in the same month of 2010, when they totaled 609,402t, reported the Asociación de Productores de Cemento (ASOCEM).


During that period, cement production was 650,740t, representing an increase of 3.65 per cent over the same period of 2010, when it stood at 627,848t. 
 


In the same month, exports reached 5,894t of cement, reporting an increase of 882.32 per cent over the same month in 2010, when they reached 600t.


Domestic and export shipments combined amounted to 649,158t in January, up.42 per cent in the same month of 2010, when totaled 610,002t.
