Minister Ricardo Menéndez said that after the nationalisation of cement companies the government has initiated a process to increase production by 1Mt in 2011. 

The government said it has initiated a process for operational cost savings, reduced bureaucracy and improved production capacity. Similarly, he said to the government has finalised and developed new investments which target cement production of 10Mt in two years.
