Ambuja Cements, a unit of Swiss cement giant Holcim Ltd., posted a net profit of INR12.63 billion, up from INR12.17 billion the previous year. Sales for the year rose 4.4% to INR73.90 billion from INR70.77 billion.
The company said it expects its margin to remain under pressure from high raw material costs and price volatility, due to an oversupply situation in the sector.
