Mexican company Trituradora y Procesadora de Materiales Santa Anita has begun construction of a  600,000tpa cement plant in the state of Hidalgo.

Governor Miguel Angel Osorio Chong of Hidalgo was present during a ceremony to mark the laying of a foundation stone. The new plant will be situated in Santiago de Anaya in the Mezquital Valley region of Hidalgo.

The plant is expected to begin production in October 2012.
