Bokaro Jaypee Cement Limited (BJCL), a joint venture company of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) and Jaypee Associates Limited (JAL) has proposed to start its production from the new cement plant by March at Bokaro Steel City.

With 2.1Mt production capacity and an estimated cost of INR405 crore, the BJCL would produce cement using the slag generated by BSL’s blast furnaces. "We are ready with our setup and hope that the production will begin by March this year," Jaypee Cement general manager PP Singh said.
