The Spanish cement market closed 2010 with total consumption of 24.5Mt, representing a 15 per cent decline on 2009 figures (28.9Mt).

Cement production in 2010 was down by almost 12 per cent to 26Mt. Clinker production fell by three per cent to 21Mt.

Exports, however, rose 33 per cent while imports were nearly 2Mt, down 31 per cent compared to 2009.
