Peru’s Ministry of Economy and Finance has ordered the elimination, once again, of tariffs on cement and clinker. The ministry argues that the amendment is consistent with the commitments made by Peru under the World Trade Organization. With this decision, the García administration revokes the Constitutional Court, which in March last year ordered at the request of the company Cementos Lima to raise the import tax to 12%.
