UltraTech Cement to invest in Rajasthan plant
Ultratech Cement Limited, a Birla Group company, is to invest in a cement plant in Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan, Birla family’s home district. The plant, with an installed capacity of 3Mta, will be established in an area of 1006ha in Nawalgarh tehsil.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed on Wednesday between Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation (RIICO) and Ultratech Cement Limited. The agreement was signed between RIICO Managing Director Rajendra Bhanawat and Ultratech Cement Company senior executive president Radhamohan Gupta.
RIICO will facilitate the project by way of land acquisition. The project is expected to start production in two years from the time of land acquisition.
