In August 2010, Hefei Cement Design & Research Institute (HCDRI) owned by the Chinese CNBM Group concluded a contract with Gebr Pfeiffer to supply two vertical roller mills which will be erected in Vietnam Construction Materials Co., Ltd. (VCM)’s new 5000tpd greenfield cement plant located in the province of Quang Binh, about 220km north of the old imperial city of Hue.

HCDRI will act as General Contractor for the installation of the whole facility.

The MPS 5000 B raw mill will have a capacity of 400tph at a product fineness of 12% R0.090mm.

The MPS 3350 BK coal mill completing the supply is designed for a capacity of 35tph at a product fineness of 3 % R0.090mm.

Apart from the core components of the grinding plants, GEBR. PFEIFFER AG will supply workshop drawings to enable mill components to be manufactured locally and supervise their manufacture in Chinese workshops. Moreover, erection and commissioning will be supervised by Pfeiffer staff on the Vietnamese jobsite.

The mills are slated for delivery in the third quarter of 2011.
