Some 42.4Mt of cement have been produced in the first eight months of the current Iranian calendar year (ended 21 November).

The amount shows 18.6 per cent increase in comparison to previous years’ figure, the Mehr News Agency reported. 

During the mentioned period more than 39.8Mt of clinker was also produced, 19 per cent more than last year.
