Brazil’s Votorantim Cement yesterday launched the foundation stone of its second plant in Mato Grosso. The new plant is located between the districts and Guide Aguaçu in Cuiaba and should be operational in August 2012.

With a capacity to produce about 1.2Mta Cuiabá unit will double capacity of cement in the state, including the company’s Noble works. Completion is expected in 2012.
