Essroc reduces workforce by 10%, USA
Essroc Cement in Nazareth laid off 19 production and maintenance workers – about 10 per cent of its workforce – due to a weak construction market, the company announced Monday.
"We have a production curtailment due to economic conditions," company spokesman Marco Barbesta said. "We hope to get them back working at the end of February, but it all depends on business conditions."
Essroc’s payroll is down to about 160 people after the layoffs, Barbesta said. Published under Cement News
