The plant began operations in March and has a capacity of 3Mta.
On November 22, Murli Industries, responding to a news report, said it was in preliminary talks with overseas cement companies to sell the plant in Chandrapur.
The Economic Times newspaper reported that Cemex has offered US$550m to acquire the Chandrapur facility.
