JK Lakshmi scouts for land for 2Mta plant

Indian cement producer, JK Lakshmi Cement said it is scouting for a suitable location to set up a 2Mta greenfield cement plant.

"We are looking for suitable sites. However, we are yet to finalise one," JK Lakshmi Cement Whole-Time Director Shailendra Chouksey told PTI.

The Delhi-based company has two manufacturing facilities, one each in Rajasthan and Gujarat, and essentially caters to the western and northern regions of the country with a total installed capacity of 4.7Mta currently.

It is putting up a 2.7Mta greenfield plant at Durgh in Chhattisgarh, adding another 0.6Mta within the existing facilities through debottlenecking, which will be completed by end of next year.
