ABIA State government has commenced work on a cement factory that is expected to produce about 5Mta of cement, the Vanguard reports.

Located in Arochukwu Local Government Area, the project is jointly owned by the government and  foreign company, Hermes Juno,. The project is expected to provide employment and increase revenue for the state.
