Pakistan to construct cement factory in Tajikistan

Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon met with the visiting Pakistani Prime Minister Yusuf Rizo Geloni who arrived in Dushanbe to take part in a regular session of the Council of heads of governments of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states due in Dushanbe on 25 November.

The sides have discussed issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries, Tajikistan President’s press service told the AP. President Rahmon noted that Tajik-Pakistani relations have achieved the peak of their development.

According to the source, the sides welcomed Pakistan’s initiative to set up joint industrial enterprises in Tajikistan, including construction of a big cement factory and praised Pakistan’s willingness to participate in multiple projects in energy, industry, transport and communication sectors.
