Syria: Tartous Company for Manufacturing Cement & Building Materials has produced 1.277Mt of cement since the beginning of 2010 with a value of SYP 4.742bn (1US$= 46 SYP) with an output rate of 109 per cent in comparison with 1.155Mt in 2009 with a value of SYP3.967bn with production increasing by 11 per cent.
 
In a report on its production and promotion plan, the Company indicated that during the first ten months of the current year its production of clinker was estimated at 1.177Mt, while the planned amount was estimated at 1.124Mt up eight per cent on 2009 totals.
