Romanian cement producer Carpatcement Holding said the value of its sales dropped by 12% in the first nine months of 2010 while sales volume decreased by 10%-12%.

Carpatcement Holding is a unit of Germany’s HeidelbergCement. The combined turnover of the German company’s three Romanian units - Carpatcement Holding, Carpat Beton and Carpat Agregate - is estimated to fall 10% in 2010, Carpatcement Holding’s spokesman Bogdan Arnautu told SeeNews.

The three companies reported a combined turnover of EUR238m last year, down from EUR368m in 2008, according to HeidelbergCement’s website.
