During the seven months of this year (year begins on March 21 in Iran) cement production in Iran increased by 1.18 per cent to 36.526Mt, sale of cement amounted to 4.164Mt, the Iranian Ministry of Industry and Mines said on Saturday.

In October 2010 cement production increased by 20 per cent and amounted to over 5.66Mt compared to the same period last year. Sale of cement amounted to 615,000t.

During seven months, clinker production increased by 21 per cent and amounted to 34.73Mt in Iran. Sale amounted to 1.156Mt. In October, 5.138Mt of clinker was produced and 113,000t were exported.
