Vietnam to export 60,000t of clinker to Bangladesh
Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation (Vicem) said it recently signed a contract to export 60,000t of clinker to Bangladesh.
At the end of September, Hoang Phat Vissai Group Co was awarded the contract by Hong Kong’s Peakward Enterprises Holdings to export 1.2Mt of clinker to Bangladesh.
Vicem aims to export around 1Mt of cement of cement this year and reduce the country’s surplus. And while it has exported modest tonnages to America, Africa, Middle East and other Asian countries, it fell short of its target mid-year.
