Essroc Cement Corporation has opened a new cement distribution terminal in Ashland, Virgina, US. On 22 September  2010, Essroc, part of the Italcementi Group, held an open house event showcasing its newest distribution terminal.

The facilities are served by a rail connection and allow for efficient supply of cement to Essroc’s customers in the Richmond area. The cement is produced by Essroc’s new state-of-the-art plant in Martinsburg, West Virginia, with a yearly output of up to 2Mt. The plant was dedicated last June and is the most environmentally friendly cement plant in the country.
