Al-Hussein also reviewed with Secretary of the General People’s Committee of Libya al-Baghdadi Ali al-Mahmudi the outcomes of the 1st and 2nd meetings of the Syrian-Libyan Strategic Cooperation Council follow-up committee and preparing documents related to the legal framework of cooperation to form the agenda of the Strategic Cooperation Council. The two sides agreed to hold a meeting chairing the Syrian-Libyan Strategic Cooperation Council due in Damascus in December.
The two sides also agreed to hold a businessmen forum in the two countries on the sidelines of the chairmanship meeting so as to carry out feasible projects in various economic fields, establishing joint companies and small and mid-sized projects. The two sides underlined the importance of enhancing cooperation in economic and trade fields, scaling up joint bilateral investments and developing the work of joint companies.
