China’s cement output up 12.8% in Aug
China produced 167.8Mt of cement in August this year – an increase of 12.8% YoY. The latest data from the National Development and Reform Commission show that growth was 3.8 percentage points lower than that of the previous month. As a result, cement output in the first eight months of 2010 rose 16.7% YoY to 1.18bnt.
The factory price of cement from key producers reached CNY309.5/t on average, a rise of CNY15.4/t MoM.
