The Pakistan government said today it exported 944,802t of cement and earned US$35.219m in  the month of August 2010, compared to 756.306t at US$41.566m in July 2010. 

The cement exports recorded a growth of 24.92 per cent in terms of quantity but declined by 15.27 per cent in terms of value in dollar,  according to data released by Federal Bureau of Statistics, Government of Pakistan. 



Similarly, if compared with August 2009 (US$39.41m), the cement export saw a growth of 17.78 per cent in terms of quantity but declined by 10.64 per cent in terms of value in dollar.



However, in first two months - July & August  of current financial year 2010-11 (July-June), Pakistan exports of cement stood at 1.701Mt at US$ 76.785m from 1.746Mt at US$86.527m in July-June 2009-10 - showing a fall of 2.61 per cent and 11.26 per cent in terms of quantity and value in dollar.
