Ambuja Cements Ltd registered a growth of 20.50 per cent in net profit at INR391.21 crore in the second quarter ended 30 Jun 2010 over Apr-Jun 2009. The net sales grew 10.83 per cent to INR2047.56 crore, while the operating profit rose by 24 per cent to INR644.01 crore.

While the production rose to 5.49Mt despatches increased to 5.39Mt.

The market capitalisation of the company grew by eight per cent to INR17,918 crore for the fortnight ended 30 Jul 2010.
