Lafarge SA raised its forecast for the French cement market, and now expects it to grow by three per cent at best this year and shrink by one per cent at worst, La Lettre de L’Expansion said, without citing anyone.

Lafarge last year forecast that this market would shrink by 3- 8 per cent in volume in 2010, the newsletter said.
