Indian cement companies Tuesday raised prices by an average INR30 per 50kg bag in the country’s southern region, a person familiar with the matter said.

"The hike is largely to bring parity with cement prices in the western region," the person, who didn’t wish to be named, told Dow Jones Newswires.
